View My WorkI’m a second-year Software Engineering student who enjoys building clean, modern user interfaces and solving real-world problems through technology and programming. I’m particularly interested in front-end development, Python projects and databases. I’m currently seeking a 2026/27 industry placement. I’m open to any role within the software industry that will extend my knowledge and allow me to learn in a real working environment.
A full OOP ticketing system with station search, ticket pricing, and purchase logic. This started as a group project in my second year. I am now building a GUI and adding extra functionality as part of an individual assessment to complete this module.
GitHub →A responsive front-end website built with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. This module helped me understand layout, responsive design, and how to create flexible workflows that adapt to different screen resolutions.
GitHub →A game I created during college. The player moves through multiple rooms, solving how to progress to the next one by finding hidden messages or navigating trap rooms from a top-down view. These projects taught me the C# fundamentals for later game development work.
GitHub → YouTube Gameplay →A platformer game built in Unity (an evolution of an earlier game idea called “Bud the Ball”). This was created around 2020. I no longer have the GitHub repository, but there is a gameplay video available on YouTube.
YouTube Gameplay →These are current or upcoming modules and projects. I’m listing them here as placeholders and will continue to update this portfolio as they progress.
An AI-focused module covering search algorithms, knowledge representation, and decision-making under uncertainty. I’m building up weekly work in this repo throughout the module.
GitHub Profile →Building a Jetpack Compose GUI application in Kotlin, based on the ticket machine group project. I’m focusing on UI layout, user interaction, and linking the interface to underlying business logic.
GitHub →A SQL + Python system for managing car modifications and performance data. This is an ongoing assessment due January 2026, and I’m actively extending it with additional functionality, better schema design, and improved data handling.
GitHub →Some of the certifications and achievements I’ve gained so far. These include academic qualifications and additional training.

More about me — I’m based in East Sussex, and I'm willing to commute a long distance for the right job.
I am 22 years old and currently studying Software Engineering at Solent University in Southampton.
Why do I want a placement?
The reason I would love a placement year is because I've realised that I learn best when I am in a real working environment,
applying what I’m taught in a practical way. I would love to experience the professional software industry and see how
larger teams break down and solve problems together. At university I’ve only worked in groups of two or three, so being
part of a bigger team is something I'm really excited about.
What hobbies do I have?
I have a few hobbies, but most revolve around self-improvement and discipline. I go to the gym daily and play padel with
university friends, constantly trying to improve my fitness. I also focus heavily on my nutrition and sleep to give myself
enough energy throughout the day.
Another big hobby of mine is investing. I’m passionate about the stock market — I keep a strict portfolio, and I’m also a funded
futures trader. I enjoy the challenge of it, the constant learning, and the way it completely changes how you think. The market
changes daily, so it keeps me sharp and motivated to improve.
And of course, I’m a bit of a petrolhead. I love cars — which people sometimes find surprising — but there’s just something
about the adrenaline of driving around a racetrack that excites me. I’ve always been into motorsport. At 18 I saved up and bought a
car I’d wanted for years, and I spent a lot of time tuning and modifying it to make it the best it could be. That passion has slowed
down a bit since motorsport costs and insurance for younger drivers keep rising, but the love is still there.
